Quezonian Juanderer at Villa Escudero!
It is located at Tiaong, Quezon.
Villa Escudero or Villa Escudero Plantations was founded in 1872 by Don Placido and his wife, Doña Claduia Marasigan. Originally, it was a sugar cane plantation but then converted by their son ,Don Arsenio Escudero into coconut, in the early 1900s.

The estate was opened to public in 1981 and became a famous tourist destination later on.
What to Do and Expect at Villa Escudero?
1. Eat at Villa Escudero Waterfall Restaurants. Eat bare-handed as you enjoy Filipino’s delicious. Experience this while the water is running over your feet while sseing the man-made waterfall restaurants.

2. Roam at the Historical Museum. It is a private museum that collected many artifacts from the historic times. It is also obe of the largest musuem in our country. Another interesting thing is, these museum is at the beautiful pink church.

3. Try Bamboo Rafting. You can enjoy rafting at Labasin lake while seeing natures green and beautiful scenery. This rafts are made of real bamboos. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a photo taken. But here is a photo from Villa Escudero’s website.

4. Watch Historical Performance. Villa Escudero is showcasing Philippines’ rich culture. There are groups performing folk dances and a rondalla. I myself, have watched this because this is the place where my Uncle and his other half were married.
5. You can take a lot photos everywhere. At Villa Escudero, you can take a lot of photos since it has a lot of instagramable spots.

There are more activities that you can do at Villa Escudero, like the swimming pool and many more. A lot of historical things that brings back the history. Our Lady of Sorrows National Shrine is the first church to be declared as a national shrine in Quezon. Many people tend to visit this church because of the miraculous things that happened here. There is a mass held every Friday to devote Our Lady of Sorrows. Pilgrims from different towns or places visits this believing that their wish, hopes and prayers will be answered.
The Priests and the Clergies are friendly. We witnessed that some Church people aren’t friendly as we have expected. But in Our Lady of Sorrows Shrine, they are accommodating. They talk like they are friends with you. We filipinos are known to be hospitable. But in Our Lady of Sorrows Shrine, it’s very common to meet someone who is really friendly. When you are offering a prayer, it’s easy to talk to them. You shouldn’t be worried dear.
Being hungry isn’t a problem. We Filipinos are known to easily starve and love eating. In Our Lady of Sorrows it’s not a problem! After the mass, you’ll see tons of food. Such as isaw, kutsinta, spaghetti, palabok amd many more. Starving? I gotchu friend! It’s budget friendly, so if your wallet is light weighted it’s not a problem.
